The staff tools have been repaired and moved into a panel of our own
The built-in tool we use to look at accounts, characters, and event logs used to die every time one of its pages was opened. That is fixed. We have also moved part of its work into a panel we built ourselves that speaks to the database directly, because the built-in tool is well over a decade old and parts of it no longer line up with the version of the game we run. For players it means one thing: if you report something, we can look into it right then.

There is only one staff account
Every built-in staff account that we did not create ourselves has been removed. One is left, and it can only be used from inside the server itself, not from outside. Actions taken through the staff tools are logged. We are writing this down not because something happened, but because of the rule we have held from the start: power in this world is earned by playing, and who holds the keys to the kitchen ought to be clear to everyone.

The client you download is now complete on its own
The client file on the Client page has been updated, so a fresh install now contains the latest game data without needing a separate patch afterwards. The two could previously be of different ages, and that was not a small inconvenience: a player who installed the client and went straight in would reach the end of the tutorial and receive a reward that arrived empty — no error message, no hint of what had gone wrong. From now on the client and the patch are always published together. If one of them changes, both are updated the same day, because relying on players to read the installation notes is not a fix.

The site is now in English as well
Every page on this site now exists in two languages, English and Indonesian, and the switch sits at the top right of every page next to the Discord button. English is what you get by default, because players from outside Indonesia are welcome here and should not have to guess their way through a language they do not read. Your choice is remembered, and switching keeps you on the page you were already reading instead of dropping you back at the front page.

Account registration through the site is open
You can now pick your account name and password on the Register page, with no email and nothing to verify. The account is ready in seconds. This closes an old trap that has claimed victims on every server using automatic registration at the login screen: mistyping one letter of your name is not rejected — it creates a new, empty account, and the player believes their character is gone.

Not open to the public yet — grand opening this month
The server is alive, but we have not opened it to the public. It is still closed testing: a small group of players goes in first, so that the things you only find out by actually playing can be fixed before the crowd arrives. The grand opening is scheduled for this month, September 2026. What you can do now: claim your account name on the Register page before someone else takes it, and download the client ahead of time — the file is 3.52 GB, far calmer to fetch now than to fight over bandwidth on opening day.
Update
New players receive an experience book at the end of the tutorial
Finishing the dream-world quest chain now also grants an experience book, on top of its original reward. Nothing was taken away from the old rewards — the book is an addition. The point is to keep the distance between the starting level and the level where this game really begins from turning into a wall for someone meeting it for the first time. This is the first piece of the new-player package we are preparing, and the rest follows.

Server status, player rankings, and the client download link are now in one place. Status and rankings are refreshed every five minutes straight from the game server — so the numbers you see here are the numbers that hold right now, not numbers written down once and then forgotten.

The server comes back on its own after a power cut
If the server has to be restarted, all twelve of its processes come up by themselves without anyone logging in to it. This was tested by actually shutting a real server down and switching it back on, not merely assumed to work — the game is ready again about three minutes later.

Daily backups are running
Every database is copied each day at 05:00, and the copy leaves the server at 05:30 and is checked again once it arrives. A backup nobody ever checks is a feeling of safety rather than safety itself — so the check runs automatically every single time, not now and then.

This world really does start from nothing
The rankings are empty and there is not one character in this world yet. No high-level player has been sitting at the top waiting for the server to open, and nobody is ahead of anybody. Everyone who comes in today starts from the same point.

The client is available to download
The AOGOLD client, 3.52 GB, can now be downloaded from the Client page. The download can be resumed: if your connection drops halfway through, you do not start again from zero — you continue from where it stopped. On a home connection that is not a refinement, it decides whether the download succeeds at all.

The AOGOLD server is running
The server is alive and reachable at 194.233.68.69. Twelve server processes are up, and both the login route and the game route are open. The machine sits in Singapore, which puts it about 30 milliseconds away from Indonesia and well inside comfortable range for the rest of Southeast Asia — that location was chosen on purpose, not by accident.
