This Server Was Built for the Player Who Plays Honestly

This page explains why this server exists, what we forbid (including what we forbid ourselves), where the money to run it comes from, and what is protected so you can play with a clear head.

Why This Server Was Built

We played on other people's private servers for a long time. What finally made us build one was not the wish to own a server. It was one thing that kept repeating almost everywhere.

Gold appearing from nowhere. Gear suddenly in someone's hands that was never hunted for. Items handed by a GM to a close friend, not to the person who played for them. Gold bought with real money outside the game, then carried in as if it had been earned.

And the part that troubles us most is not the person receiving all that. It is the honest player who has no idea. He thinks he is slow. He thinks he is not working hard enough. He thinks he has no talent for it. In truth he is competing against something he was never shown. He is being cheated without ever being told that he is being cheated.

In a place like that, the honest player ends up merely tolerated. He is on the server, but the server is not for him.

This server was built so that he is the one who belongs. Not a guest, not an extra. If you play honestly here, you are not being tolerated on our server. You are playing on a server that was built for you.

That is why the rules on this page do not stop at what you may not do. Most of them bind us.

Real Money Stops at the Gate

What is forbidden is not trade between players. That is the frame the economy is built on. What is forbidden is value leaving the game to become money, and money entering the game to become power.

1. Nothing here is bought or sold for real money

Gold, gear, characters, and accounts may not be traded for real money, with anyone, through any channel, inside the game or outside it.

The seller and the buyer are both acted upon. It is the buyer who creates the demand; with no buyers, there is nothing for a bot to harvest.

2. A GM may never be a source of gold or items

No gold, gear, or enhancement level may be created by a GM and handed to a player's account. Not "allowed if it is reasonable". Not allowed at all.

Items needed for an event are made as recorded event rewards, not slipped quietly into someone's bag.

3. Knowing the staff gets you nothing

Being friends with whoever runs this server earns you no gold, no items, no priority, and no leniency in a penalty.

This is a rule we wrote for ourselves, and it is the most important one on this page, because it is the one most often broken elsewhere, and the hardest for a player on the outside to prove.

4. Money can never turn into gold

Nothing is sold on this server today. If something ever is, whatever is bought with money will never be convertible into gold, items, or anything that carries gold value.

Without that path, there is no back door that can be eased open later.

What we can see, and what we cannot. The payment itself happens outside the game, and we cannot see anyone's bank account. What we can see is the trail it leaves inside: items moving one way with nothing coming back, a new account suddenly receiving a large sum, trade patterns that always end at one collecting account.

That is why every Gold's source is recorded, not to watch how you play, but so that patterns like those have nowhere to hide. And as with every other action, suspicion never becomes punishment on its own: detected, investigated, confirmed, then acted upon, and always open to appeal.

If you are cheated in a deal like that, we cannot return anything to you, because the money never passed through here. That is one more reason this ban protects you rather than restricts you.

Where the Money to Run This Comes From

A fair question the moment a server claims it does not sell power. The answer is written here as it stands, including the part that is not yet pleasant.

Today: out of our own pocket

Nothing is sold on this server, and no donation box is open. The machine rental, the domain name, and the storage for the database copies are paid for by the people running it.

We write it plainly so you do not have to guess, and so that if it ever changes, the change is visible.

Later: appearance and convenience soon

Costumes, mounts, effects, titles, name colours. They are seen, but they add not a single number in battle. Plus convenience that does not change strength, such as extra warehouse slots or a name change.

What is sold is appearance and tidiness, never an advantage. None of it exists yet; this is a plan, and it is written as one.

Why we believe that is enough

The model is proven at a far larger scale. Path of Exile has run for years on sales that are entirely cosmetic, with no pay-to-win element at all.

And our size is far smaller than a studio's: what has to be covered is the monthly cost of a machine and a domain, not salaries and profit.

Why this is safer for you

If we sold power, income would rise quickly and then the server would die. Players who do not pay lose their reason to play, and those who do pay lose their opponents.

If we sell appearance, its value depends on how many people are there to see it. A costume is worthless on an empty server. Which means we only do well if this place is busy and fair. Your interest and ours sit on the same side.

Lines we will not cross

  • No selling gold, in any form and under any name.
  • No selling gear, enhancement levels, or rare materials, including the kind that "only speeds things up a little".
  • No selling leniency. An account that has been acted upon cannot be restored by paying, only through an appeal that is re-examined.
  • No random boxes containing power. If a random-reward box ever exists, its contents are cosmetic only, and the odds of each are published openly.
  • Nothing time-limited that forces payment to stay competitive. Stopping payment must never mean falling behind.
  • No gameplay advantage for donating, if donations are ever opened. A donor gets a thank-you that is seen, not power that is felt.

These six lines are written on a public page so they can be held against us. If we ever cross one, you have an address to point at.

What We Protect So You Can Play in Peace

See the numbers on Proof →

A promise with no way to check it is only a promise. The six things below are the way to check, and each has its own place on the Proof page.

GM account activity is checked too soon

Rules two and three above mean nothing if we are the only ones who can verify them. So the transaction history of GM accounts is published as well, alongside the rest of the economy figures.

This is the point that answers most directly why this server exists.

Every piece of gear is serial-numbered from birth

Every weapon and every armour piece carries a unique number held by the server, and each of its movements is recorded. That is what turns "where did this item come from" into a question with an answer rather than an argument.

The number itself is never displayed, because pairing it with an owner's name would leak exactly what ought to be protected.

The state of the economy is published soon

How much Gold is in circulation, how much is born, how much is destroyed. All of it published as totals, never naming what is in anyone's purse.

The figures on the Proof page are still sample values today, and are marked as such until they are read straight from the server.

See the economy board →

Odd items are quarantined, not deleted

An item found in a state the game could not have produced is frozen, not destroyed. Deleting it throws away the evidence, including the evidence that could clear its owner.

And the mark of a forgery is not a high enhancement level; it is a high level with no trace of how it got there.

You may argue back, and we can be wrong

No account is punished automatically by a number. The order is always detected, investigated, confirmed, then acted upon. And every action can be appealed.

If a re-examination shows we were mistaken, the decision is reversed and the record updated, not quietly erased.

The enforcement log →

The starter pack is locked to your account soon

Everyone begins with exactly the same contents, and none of it can be traded, mailed, listed on the market, or sold to an NPC.

Which means creating ten accounts yields zero sellable goods. The starter pack is a ticket in, not economic capital.

If you see something that does not match this page, say so. Including when the one you suspect is us. Asking where an item came from, or about what a GM did, is a legitimate question and it will be answered.

For now through Discord. A written form is being prepared so that every question leaves a trace of its own.
